Accommodations

Hawaii Yoga Festival is hosted at Kalani, a 120-acre retreat center set in the lush jungle of the Big Island. Festival passes include three meals per day, choice of accommodations* and access to amenities. Take a dip in the pool or hot tub, relax in the sauna, book a massage at our on-site wellness center, or just lay in a hammock and soak it all in.

Kalani provides complementary WiFi in central locations including Hale Aloha, Guest Services and the Dining Lanai. Given our jungle location and conditions, WiFi may be limited in guest accommodations.

Meals

Enjoy three fresh, nourishing meals per day on the open air Dining Lanai. Kalani supports the local economy by sourcing approximately 85% of produce from Hawaii farms.

Cottage

  • Size: 400 sq. ft.
  • Accommodates: Up to 3 guests

Cottages are private, free-standing structures of approximately 400 square feet that feature wood and renewable bamboo construction and a covered, outdoor lanai. All cottages have unique artistic touches. Some are nestled in tropical foliage, while others look out over open fields. Most cottages have capacity for up to three guests, and feature a private bath and mini fridge.

Tropical Lofts

  • Size: 1000 sq. ft.
  • Accommodates: Up to 2 guests per bedroom
  • Bath: Private
  • Additional: Shared common area, Kitchenette

Lofts are approximately 1,000 square feet and are comprised of two private bedrooms adjacent to a shared common space. A Loft room reservation includes one of the two private bedrooms in the loft. Each Loft bedroom can house up to two people in one king or two twin sized beds, and has a full private bath. The Loft common space is spacious and open in feel, and features high ceilings, seating area, and kitchenette.

Bungalow

  • Size: 225 sq. ft.
  • Accommodates: Up to 2 guests

Bungalows are freestanding structures that house two rooms of 225 square feet each. High, slanted ceilings and tall screened windows make these inviting dwellings a cozy and free environment. Bungalows house up to two adults or two adults and one child. Each room contains one queen bed and one twin bed, private bath, mini fridge and overlook pastoral or jungle vistas.

Tree House

  • Size: 500 sq. ft.
  • Accommodates: Up to 3 guests (depending on room)

Treehouse rooms are nestled under the cool shade of a large Monkeypod Tree, and are designed to invite nature indoors. Screened walls give an outside-in sensation, endowing these rooms with tropical breezes, filtered light and spectacular views. There are five Treehouse rooms featuring private bath, mini fridge, and pastoral vistas.

Hale lodge

  • Size: 200 sq. ft.
  • Accommodates: Up to 3 guests (depending on room)
  • Bath: Private or shared
  • Additional: Shared fridge and common area

Hale Lodges – pronounced Ha’-lay, Hawaiian for “house” – are two-level Lodges with rooms and shared common areas on both levels. The Hale Lodges are located on the central lawn near the dining lanai, and feature sweeping garden views. Hale Lodge rooms are approximately 200 square feet and can accommodate 2-3 guests. Some rooms have private baths, and our most economically priced rooms have shared baths.

Meals

You will be delighted by our range of culinary options. Chefs with diverse backgrounds work together to create inspired cultural meals from around the world. We take good care of vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters, too. We label allergens and ingredients that can cause sensitivity, and invite you to ask our kitchen staff any questions that arise as you dine with us.

Coffee, tea, as well as hot and cold water are available at all hours at the Kalani’s Dining Lanai.
Toast and cereal station is open from 7:30am to 7:00 pm.

Breakfast

Serving time: 7:30am – 8:30am

Start your morning with organic grains, Kalani-made granola, and local tropical fruits. Hot food options change daily and may include organic eggs, brown rice, local greens, beans, or miso. We offer organic cereals, dairy and non-dairy milks, and Kalani-made bread with an assortment of toppings. Sip an herbal or caffeinated tea, local Ka’u coffee, or a made-from-scratch infusion.

Lunch

Serving time: 12:00pm – 1:00pm

At lunch you will find an array of options, which may include soup, a main entree with vegan and vegetarian variety, and our full salad bar with Kalani-made dressings. Feel free to delight in housemade beverages or an extra snack from the toaster station.

Dinner

Serving time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

When dinner arrives, The Lanai really comes to life. Just like our lunch options, you often have your choice of soup, entree, and sides with variety for our vegan and vegetarian eaters. Build a salad at our bountiful salad bar, and enjoy a beverage! Don’t forget dessert, created by our very own pastry chefs!
